About
People seek massage therapy for many reasons, the most common reason being to relieve stress. With this in mind I provide surround-sound music, hot stone therapy and essential oils to create a relaxing environment that is often experienced as an escape from life’s demands.
Complaints of back and neck pain are common outcomes of life’s stressors, and I specialize in deep -tissue massage to relieve such pain and discomfort. I have also had great success in treating symptoms caused by plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, extensive computer work and extreme athleticism.
Understanding that needs vary, I tailor every massage for what will be most beneficial for that session. I encourage you to visit Harmony Massage and leave feeling revived, energized and rejuvenated.
Retreat to relaxation and harmonize to health because you deserve it!
Shannon Reagan
Growing up with massage therapy in my home, I was fortunate to be the “guinea pig” for many of my mother’s required practice hours for massage school. She used massage to calm me when I was upset, and to coax me to sleep at night. Her keen knowledge of pressure points, combined with her tender touch and the aromas of lavender and marjoram essential oils, worked like a magic spell.
A car accident injured my mother’s back everything changed for us. Bedridden, she was no longer able to work and for the first time she was reliant on others to relieve her pain. She taught people how to work on her and it was because of this that I grew up doing bodywork.
After graduating from California State University, Sacramento, I enrolled in massage school. Already having a massage table in my house, it felt right to seek professional training for what I already loved to do. I graduated from The Healing Arts Institute in 2006, completing the initial Swedish massage program with its heavy focus on anatomy. I have since completed many continuing education classes, specializing in deep tissue, shiatsu, and hot stone therapy.
Now living in midtown, Sacramento, I like to travel, read, bike, hike, and roller blade. I also enjoy yoga, hot springs, garage sales, coffee, massages and my cat, Daisy!
